(http://www.iberkshires.com/ckfinder/userfiles/images/jackgiantslaya1_001.jpg)Normally, one could find the time to express the beauty of the mountainside with its idyllic peaks and valleys, etc. But in that beauty was peril; a trying and arduous footpath, air thinner and stingy with its oxygen, and the colossal denizens of the area. Doctor Wicker wasn’t personally familiar with giants that weren’t mechanical or that were not from the sea. Neither of those were really a menace like Ettins and Hill Giants were… or so she came to find out by just how much.
Within moments this unexpected encounter turned deadly as the might of the huge creatures bore down on their number. Chaos soon filled the air, yelling, weapons crashing into bodies, flying boulders, and worse. Things began to go south rapidly and the fog of war had the Doctor operating with tunnel vision of reflexes rather than proper thought.
As quickly as it started, the battle terminated… the last thing she could coherently recall was Euron yelling "For Helm!". She had blown a hole through the midsection of an Ettin and was not able to react in time before it toppled backwards on her. Through sheer chance, the massive corpse’s new hole was positioned and wide enough so that when it collapsed, she fit through its center (though not at all cleanly.)
Barely recognizable under a coating of viscera, she crawled out of the corpse, sputtering… “So.. w-w-warm.” is what she said in a traumatized tone.
With so many wounded, it looked as if Euron was performing his good works with haste and readiness that was admirable.
“G..Gizo, please...uh.. do a perimeter check.” she commanded the clockwork drone, who took off to do just that. There may be more giants. The Doc wiped muck from her face and tried to look in her pouches for the Goodberries she made prior. She did not know how else to help, really...
